TardySweep gives your staff a fast way to log every tardy, tells students what happens next the moment it's logged, and shows your leaders who is late, when and where.

The problem

Paper slips don't add up.

Most schools already know they have a tardy problem. What's missing is a reliable count. When tardies live on paper slips, clipboards and spreadsheets, the fifth tardy looks exactly like the first, consequences depend on who caught the student, and nobody can say which hallway or period is driving the numbers.

TardySweep fixes the counting, so the rest of your plan can work: every tardy is recorded the same way, every student gets the same response, and the data is there when you need to step in.

How it works

Log it. Act on it. Follow up.

1

Log every tardy in seconds

At hall sweeps on a phone, at tardy stations with a barcode scanner, or with a classroom station where late students log their own tardy. Search by name, type an ID or scan a card. The time, period and location are recorded automatically.

2

Show the next step right away

Your Event Rules count tardies over the periods you choose and show the consequence on screen the moment a milestone is reached, like a warning, lunch detention or an administrator meeting. Print it on the student's pass if you use passes.

3

See the patterns and follow up

The Reporting Dashboard shows tardies by period, location and student over any date range. Find the students who need a conversation, not just another detention, and export any view to CSV.

From our schools

"It has impacted our hallways more than any other initiative we have tried."

TardySweep has been a game-changer for us. We needed live data on tardies that was accurate and that we could track. With TardySweep we can custom tailor the platform to meet our needs, for example, we setup alerts when students hit certain tardy increments so we know what interventions to assign. It's easy to use and has impacted our hallways more than any other initiative we have tried!

The TardySweep system has been highly effective in promoting punctuality across our school. Since implementation, we have seen a significant reduction in hallway loitering, and students are now more motivated to get to class on time. Furthermore, TardySweep has allowed us to better identify and provide targeted interventions for students who are chronically tardy.

TardySweep is extremely user friendly, and has enabled us to monitor student tardiness effectively. The TardySweep Team has been VERY quick to respond to any questions or requests for support. They are also very open to suggestions we might offer to make the platform even more effective.

Built with schools

Everything a tardy policy needs, and nothing it doesn't.

Most features exist because a school asked for them.

  • Hall sweeps and tardy stations. Phones for sweeps, barcode scanners and pass printers at stations.
  • Classroom stations. Late students log their own tardy on a classroom iPad or Chromebook, so no one has to staff a tardy desk.
  • Event Rules. Escalating consequences that apply automatically, the same way every time.
  • Printable passes. Your own templates, filled in with the student, the tardy and the next step.
  • Bell schedules and locations. Every tardy is tied to a period and a place.
  • Reporting Dashboard. Trends by period, location and student, with CSV exports.
  • Student import and SIS integrations. Upload a spreadsheet, or have us connect to your SIS.

Student data privacy

Student data stays your school's.

We collect only what's needed to log and report tardies. We never sell student data or use it for advertising. Students and parents don't have accounts, and TardySweep never contacts them. Your school can export its data or have it deleted, and we sign district student data privacy agreements.
